Uni GPA Calculator (Android package com.husnulmaab.gpacalculator)
Publisher: HM Academy
Effective date: 10 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Uni GPA Calculator app ("the app") handles, what stays on your device, and what is processed by the Google services the app uses.

1. Summary

2. Information stored only on your device

The following is saved in the app's private storage on your phone or tablet and is not sent to the developer:

You can delete this information at any time inside the app, by clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.

If device backup is turned on in your Android settings, Android may include the app's data in the backup of your own Google account. That backup is controlled by you and by Google, not by the developer.

3. Files you choose to create

Backup files and PDF or CSV reports are created only when you tap the corresponding button. They are saved or shared only to the location or app that you choose. The developer does not receive them.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app shows ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

DataExamples
Device or other identifiersAdvertising ID, app set ID
Approximate locationDerived from your IP address
App activityApp launches, taps, ad views and interactions with ads
DiagnosticsCrash logs and performance data of the ads SDK

This data is collected by Google, encrypted in transit, and used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Depending on your choices and region, ads may be personalised. Your academic records are not shared with Google for advertising.

Your choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent before showing ads, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices in the app. On any device you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (the exact path depends on your device).

Rewarded videos. Some Premium features can be used once by choosing to watch a video ad. A video is shown only after you choose it.

Subscribing to Premium removes ads from the app.

5. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

Premium is an optional subscription sold through Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play; the app and the developer never see your card or payment details. The app only receives from Google Play whether a subscription is active. You can manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Google's handling of purchase data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Permissions

The app uses internet access, network state, the advertising ID and Google Play billing, all required by the Google advertising and billing libraries. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, phone or photos.

7. Children

The app is intended for students in school, college and university and is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because your records exist only on your device, they are kept until you delete them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. The developer holds no copy and therefore cannot access, export or delete them for you. For data collected by Google through advertising or purchases, use Google's tools at myaccount.google.com.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
